At the invitation of the Moroccan Youth League for Development and Modernity, African Network of Youth Policy Experts Director of Research & Strategic Studies was a guest speaker at a roundtable on African youth, challenges and opportunities. Karima Rhanem’s contribution focused on “Youth Policies in Africa and Opportunities for Participation in Development”. She made an overview of youth policies in Africa and challenges of implementation. She also discussed the African youth charter, its strenghts and weaknesses and opportunities for ammendement within the framework of post 2015 Agenda. She also gave examples of some youth initiatives in Africa which helped promote youth participation.
